UC Santa Barbara faced off against CSU Bakersfield at home on Sunday, earning a 1-0 victory. Haley Phillips was the solo goal scorer of the match as the Blue and Gold took the 2024 Big West Championship rematch.
SCOUTING THE TITANS
In their most recent match, Cal State Fullerton secured a 2-0 home victory over UC Davis on Sunday, Oct. 5. The Titans remain unbeaten with an overall record of 10-0-2 and are 3-0-1 in Big West play, with their other conference wins coming against UC Riverside and Hawai'i. The Titans are also receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
Titans Midfielder Camryn Cruz was named the Big West Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 6). Cruz scored her fourth and fifth goals of the season on Sunday in their match against UC Davis. Cruz is the fifth Titan this season to be awarded a Big West player of the week honor.
Goalkeeping for Cal State Fullerton is Isaac Ranson, who has posted 39 saves on the season and a save percentage of .907. Ranson ranks first in saves and shutouts in The Big West.
