SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Nov. 14) – The UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams wrapped up the 2025 season at one of the sport's biggest stages, the NCAA DI West Regionals hosted by Sacramento State. Battling through heavy mud on the Arcade Creek Country Course, the Gauchos went stride-for-stride against elite programs from across the West Coast.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Zach Parker once again paced the Gauchos on the 10k course, posting a personal best of 30:20.8 to place 42nd out of 203 competitors. Conrad Voigt and Manny Correia were the next UCSB runners across the line, finishing in 31:18.9 and 32:04.4 respectively. In their first collegiate 10k races, Niall Monteleone and Will Mulliken rounded out the scoring five with strong performances of 32:14.4 and 32:22.0, securing UCSB a 21st place team finish out of 30 teams, with a score of 548. Nate Osborn and Parker Stickney also represented in Gaucho blue, crossing in 32:24.8 and 33:12.5.

On the women's side, UCSB delivered one of the largest jumps in the field, improving 12 places from last year's finish to take 17th overall. Freshman Addie Oversmith charged out early and held strong, finishing in 21:25.6. She was followed by Jordin Lieberman, who clocked 21:41.5, and senior Lexi Darley, who closed out her Gaucho cross country career with an inspiring 21:58.8. Ryann Strawn and Sierra Gill completed the scoring five in 22:10.9 and 22:25.3, contributing to the team's total of 596 points. Danielle Hollander and Isabel Ross added depth to the Gaucho effort, finishing in 22:30.1 and 22:38.9.

As the Gauchos close the book on their 2025 cross country season, they now look ahead to the upcoming track season this spring. A special shoutout goes to Lexi Darley, Conrad Voigt, and Zach Parker, who capped off their final cross country races as Gauchos.
