Men's Tennis Concludes Fall Season in Round of 32

ORLANDO, Fla.–  The Blue and Gold wrapped up a demanding week at the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships, where impressive efforts from Lucca Liu and Dominique Rolland highlighted the Gauchos' ability to compete with some of the nation's top-ranked players.

SINGLES COMPETITION
On Tuesday evening, Dominique Rolland faced Kenta Miyoshi, the No. 6-ranked player in the nation. Showing grit throughout the match, Rolland ultimately fell in straight sets to the Illinois senior, 6-4, 6-1.

Just hours earlier, Lucca Liu battled against North Carolina's Niels Ratiu. After dropping the first set, Liu clawed his way back, fighting tooth and nail to claim the second. In a tense, back-and-forth final set that went to a tiebreak, Liu emerged victorious, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(4).

The following day, Liu took on Princeton's Paul Inchauspe, who ranks No. 18 nationally. Riding the momentum from his previous win, Liu captured the first set quickly. The second set stretched long, with Liu narrowly falling in a tiebreak. Despite battling until the end, he concluded his tournament run with a Round-of-32 loss, 6-2, 6-7(4), 1-6.
