SAN DIEGO – Day two of the Ed Collins Classic saw another victory for the No. 45 UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team as they defeated No. 55 Utah 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lucca Liu and Diogo Morais got the ball rolling in doubles with a swift 6-2 win on court two. The Utes pushed back with a 6-2 defeat of Conrad Brown and Charlie Underwood. The Gauchos would clinch the doubles point on court one with No. 35 Gianluca Brunkow and Dominique Rolland defeating their opponent 6-4. 

Dominique Rolland would only continue to dominate as the Blue and Gold moved onto singles. His straight set victory put the Gauchos ahead by two points. The Utes fought for a point on court one with a 6-2, 6-4 win over No. 43 Gianluca Brunkow. Matei Gavrea pushed the Gauchos within one point of the victory with a 7-5, 6-4 win in the sixth position. Santa Barbara would clinch the 4-1 win shortly after with No. 73 Diogo Morais taking a straight set win to end the day.

Charlie Underwood and Lucca Liu were both in third set battles with their opponents when the Gauchos secured the dominant victory. Both won their first set before falling in the second. Underwood was down 0-3 in the third set while Liu was tied 1-1 in his third set when the Gauchos clinched the last point needed.
