DAYTON, Ohio – UC Santa Barbara Women's Volleyball is headed into their final non-conference weekend, which they will spend at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The Gauchos will take on the host team, Dayton University, as well as Illinois State and Wright State. 

LAST TIME OUT 
The Gauchos hosted Pepperdine in a tense 3-2 match that ended in the Waves favor. Cortni Youngblood reached a career-high in digs with 28 while Kiersten Schmitt pulled a double double from 10 kills and 15 digs. 

The Gauchos are 6-3 on the season and tied for first in the Big West with Cal Poly. 

SCOPING THE SCHEDULE 
Friday is to feature a double header for Santa Barbara, the Gauchos first facing Illinois State at 8:00 a.m. PT. At 4:00 p.m. PT, the Blue and Gold will take on the Dayton Flyers. 

On Saturday, the Gauchos will take on Wright State at 7:30 a.m. PT.  

All matches will be available on live stats, while UC Santa Barbara versus Dayton will be streamed on ESPN+. 

OPPONENT BREAKDOWN
The opening competitor, Illinois State, is 4-5 for 2025 and currently on a 3 game loss-streak. UC Santa Barbara has a 1-1 record versus the school, last receiving a loss in 2017. 

Dayton University is 3-5 this season, and the Gauchos are 1-0 versus Dayton. The Gauchos will be taking on Wright State for the first time, who are 5-3.
