WACO, Texas — The UC Santa Barbara menp's tennis team fell to No. 8 Texas A&M  with a score of 4-1 on Wednesday at the Jim and Nell Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. UC Santa Barbara secured a doubles victory at the No. 3 position but was unable to clinch any singles matches.

Texas A&M secured the doubles point with victories on courts one and two. The No. 1 doubles team of #33-ranked Khololwam Montsi and Alexander Frusina defeated UC Santa Barbara's Conrad Brown and Dominique Rolland, 6-3. At No. 3 doubles, Diogo Morais and Lorenzo Brunkow provided a win for UC Santa Barbara with a decisive 6-1 victory over Ritesh Patil and Kriish Tyagi. However, the Aggies clinched the point with a 6-3 win by Theo Papamalamis and Lathan Skrobarcek over #80-ranked Lucca Liu and Miguel Avendano at No. 2 doubles.

In singles action, the competition began with a tightly contested match at No. 1 singles, where #42-ranked Theo Papamalamis edged out #79 Lucca Liu in a tiebreak, 7-6(7), followed by a second set tied at 1-1 before the match was left unfinished. Texas AM's Alexander Frusina added a point at No. 2 singles, winning 6-1, 6-4 over #31 Dominique Rolland. The Aggies continued their success with Markus Molder defeating Diogo Morais 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

The Aggies' Lathan Skrobarcek secured a straight-sets victory at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-3 over Charlie Underwood. The match at No. 5 singles between Carson Lee and Kriish Tyagi was left unfinished, with Tyagi leading 6-3, 1-6, 2-1. Similarly, the match between Miguel Avendano and Khololwam Montsi at No. 3 singles was also unfinished, with Montsi leading 6-3, 1-6.
