SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team defeated UC Riverside 7-0 on Wednesday at the Arnhold Tennis Center. UC Santa Barbara secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions and swept all six singles matches.

UC Santa Barbara secured the doubles point with victories on courts two and three.
Emma Tutoveanu and
Caroline Beard delivered a 6-2 win over Susannah Su and Crystal Kim at No. 2 doubles, followed by
Lily Pradkin and
Carla Pacot's 6-2 decision against Katarina Curcic and Kaia Paulo at No. 3 doubles. The match on court one between
Raphaelle Leroux and
Shanelle Iaconi against Ramey Yu and Kei Kato remained unfinished at 4-3.
In singles, Pradkin quickly extended the Gauchos' lead with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kim at No. 4 singles. Beard added another point with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Curcic at No. 5 singles. Pacot secured a straight-set win, 7-5, 6-1, against Sam Condevillamar at No. 6 singles.
Iaconi continued the momentum for the hosts with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Su at No. 3 singles. Leroux followed up with a 6-3, 6-3 win against Kato at No. 2 singles. Tutoveanu wrapped up the competition for the home team with a three-set victory over Yu, 6-7(4), 6-2, 10-6, at No. 1 singles.
