Gauchos Road Trip to Riverside, Return to Host Senior Day

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – During their penultimate week of regular season play, the UC Santa Barbara Women's Basketball team will visit Riverside for a Thursday night outing before returning home Saturday to take on UC Irvine. Saturday will also serve as Senior Day, where the Gauchos will honor Martha Pietsch, Jessica Grant, and Skylar Burke

LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos went 1-1, first dominating CSUN 74-58 on the road. Zoe Borter shot 50%, made four threes, and totaled 20 points. Júlia Puente-Valverde made ten rebounds, while Skylar Burke made eight. 

At home, the Gauchos fell behind Hawai'i, finishing 58-52 at home. Burke led the Gauchos on the offense, bringing in 16 points, while Maddie Naro led in rebounds with nine. 

EYEING THE HIGHLANDERS
UC Riverside is 9-18 in conference play, though they defeated the Gauchos 69-62 when they visited on Feb. 12. Hannah Wickstrom is a force for the Highlanders, having earned three Player of the Week honors and averages 23.5 points per game. 

ABOUT THE ANTEATERS 
UC Irvine tops the conference, going 14-2 in Big West play this season. The Gauchos fell at home to the Anteaters on the road, 61-43. They are led by four-time Player of the Week Hunter Hernandez, who stands at second in the conference for scoring.
