Men’s Basketball to be Featured on Two More Nationally Televised Broadcasts

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Just a day after defeating conference-leading UC Irvine on national television, the UC Santa Barbara men's basketball team will be featured on two more nationally televised games this season.

UC Santa Barbara will play in the national spotlight next against Hawai'i. The Gauchos and Rainbow Warriors game on Saturday, Feb. 21, has been flexed to ESPNU and will now tip off at 5 p.m. Hawai'i time / 7 p.m. Pacific time. The Gauchos defeated the Warriors in the team's first matchup of the year in The Thunderdome, when Hawai'i was leading The Big West standings. With its win last night, UC Santa Barbara now sits just a half game out of first place in The Big West standings, behind both Irvine and Hawai'i.

The second UC Santa Barbara game to be featured on national TV will be last night's rematch of the Gauchos and Anteaters on Saturday, Feb. 28. UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine will now play on ESPN2 with a tip off time of 7:30 p.m. The Gauchos edged the 'Eaters last night 84-79 to move within a half game of the top spot in The Big West standings.

UC Santa Barbara is back on the court Thursday, Feb. 12, as they head to UC Riverside. The Gauchos and Highlanders will tip off at 7 p.m., with the game broadcast on ESPN+, and live stats will be available.
