SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The No. 30 UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team picked up a 4-3 win over No. 72 Texas Tech, sealing the victory after a tightly contested singles lineup that swung back and forth between the two sides.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Santa Barbara opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and three.
Miguel Avendano and
Lucca Liu delivered a strong 6-2 victory over Sebastian Abboud and Thiago Guglieri at No. 1 doubles, while
Lorenzo Brunkow and
Diogo Morais followed with a 6-3 win against Thomas Van Den Dooren and Felipe Pagnacco on court three.
Singles play unfolded as a tightly contested back-and-forth battle between the two sides. UC Santa Barbara struck first when
Dominique Rolland delivered a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ludovico Vaccari at No. 2 singles. Texas Tech responded on court three with Tyler Stewart defeating
Miguel Avendano 6-2, 6-3, but the Gauchos regained the lead shortly after as
Charlie Underwood earned a 6-2, 6-4 win over Thiago Guglieri at No. 5 singles.
The Red Raiders regained momentum when Felipe Pagnacco defeated
Diogo Morais 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles before
Conrad Brown ultimately clinched the match for the Gauchos with a hard-fought 7-6(3), 7-5 victory over Sebastian Abboud on court six.
The final match to finish came at the No. 1 spot, where
Lucca Liu battled back to force a third set before ultimately falling to Niksa Arsic 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
