Rauscher Tabbed as The Big West Field Player of the Week, Marking Third Weekly Honor

IRVINE, Calif. – For the third time this season, UC Santa Barbara's own Dani Rauscher has been named The Big West Freshman of the Week. Rauscher played a pivotal role in helping the Gauchos secure the series victory over Hawai'i and stay atop The Big West standings.

Rauscher was nearly perfect over the weekend, going 9-for-11 (0.818) in the three-game series. The freshman did not strike out at the plate and stole one base. She also made all seven chances she had in the field. With her output over the weekend, the San Jose native leads the conference in batting average and hits.

Rauscher and the Gauchos head to Long Beach State this upcoming weekend to take on the Beach on Saturday and Sunday. The games will not be broadcast on ESPN+, but live stats will be available.
