SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Soccer team and Head Coach Paul Stumpf added the final piece to their 2026 roster. On Monday morning, Stumpf announced the addition of goalkeeper Brynn Korpela, a transfer from the University of Oregon.

Prior to beginning her collegiate career, Korpela starred at Maria Carrillo High School in Santa Rosa, California. She served as team captain and was named her league's Defensive Player of the Year twice during her high school career.

On the club scene, Korpela earned ECNL Northwest Conference First Team honors in 2021 while serving again as team captain. Korpela guided her teams to consistent success while establishing herself as one of the top goalkeepers in Northern California.

Korpela arrives in Santa Barbara after earning the Malik Award during her time with San Diego State, recognizing her leadership, dedication and commitment to her team. Korpela also had a brief stint at the University of Oregon before officially coming to the Gauchos.
