LARAMIE, Wyo. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Volleyball team is headed out for its second weekend on the road, a Mountain West outing that will take them to the University of Wyoming and Colorado State. 

The Gauchos will face the Cowgirls on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. PT in Laramie, then head to Fort Collins to face Colorado State on Friday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. PT. On Sunday, the Gauchos will remain in Fort Collins to play a neutral site match against South Dakota at 11 a.m. PT. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos went 1-1 in the Gaucho Invitational after falling to (RV) Iowa State but defeating Utah State. Cortni Youngblood made 20 digs against the Aggies to average five digs a set. 

OPPONENT OPTICS
The Gauchos are 3-1 against Wyoming, with the last win taking place in 2019. The teams most recently played on Sept. 10, 2021, and the Cowgirls won 3-2. Wyoming is currently 3-2 on the 2026 season. 

Against Colorado State, the Gauchos are 4-4, with the last win occurring on Sept. 3, 2016. The Rams took a 3-1 victory on Aug. 27, 2022. Colorado State is 3-2 overall this year. 

Santa Barbara has faced South Dakota once, a contest they won 3-0 in September of 2018. The Coyotes are 5-1 for the year, and defensive specialist Sierra Pokharel was named as the Summit League's Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8.
