  • Amadou Sow played and started in all 28 games for the Gauchos, averaging 29.7 minutes per game

• Amadou Sow was named First Team All-Conference for the first time in his career following an outstanding junior season
• Joined the 1,000-point club on Feb. 14 at Hawai'i and at the season's end ranked 22nd on the all-time scoring list with 1,182
• Played in 26 games starting in 25 and averaging 26 minutes per game
• Led the team with 7.6 rebounds per game and was second on the team with a 13.6 points per game and a 57.3% shooting percentage 
• Was incredible from the free throw line making 85-of-103 for a 82.5% mark
• Dropped a season-high 23 points on Long Beach State in the Big West Tournament Quarterfinal going 7-for-12 from the field and 9-for-10 from the free throw line
• Scored in double figures in 19 games and scored 20 or more five times
• Had double-digit boards on seven occasions while securing a season-high 14 twice
• Had four straight double-doubles from Jan. 15 -23 and notched six on the year, including one in the Big West Championship
• Ended the year on an eight-game double digit scoring streak
• Made half or more of his field goal attempts in 20 games
• Has made 452-of-807 field goal attempts in his career for a .560% mark which currently ranks sixth all-time in Gaucho history

2019-20
• Amadou Sow was named Second Team All-Big West for the second consecutive season.
• Ranked second on the team in scoring at 14.1 points per game, first in rebounding at 7.0 per game and first in blocked shots with 35. 
• Was the only UCSB player to start all 31 games in 2019-20 and he has started 62 of 63 in his two campaigns as a Gaucho.
• Has five double-doubles on the season and they came at Oregon State (14 points, 11 rebounds), vs. Menlo College (25 points, 10 rebounds), at CSUN (14 points, 11 rebounds), at Long Beach State (15 points, 14 rebounds) and vs. UC Irvine (21 points, 10 rebounds).
• Made 12-of-13 field goal attempts, including both of his three-point attempts, while scoring a career-high 30 points on Feb. 6 vs. Hawai’i. 24 of the points came in the second half.
• Scored 20 or more points seven times, tied for most on the team.
• Scored 15 or more 15 times and 10 or more 21 times.
• Had seven or more rebounds 16 times and was in double-figures six times.
• His field goal percentage of 54.7% is second on the team.
• Has made 318-of-573 field goal attempts in his two seasons, 55.5%, ranking tied for sixth on the school’s all-time list.
• Made half or better of his field goal attempts 23 times, including a perfect 7-for-7 in a season-opening victory over Jackson State. 
• Has scored 828 points in his two seasons at UCSB, 13.1 per game.
• The 828 points represent the most ever by a Gaucho player in his freshman and sophomore seasons.
• Earned Big West Player of the Week honors on Feb. 10 after leading the Gauchos to home wins over Hawai’i and UC Irvine. 
• Made a career-high three three-point baskets, in three attempts, on Dec. 7 at UT-Arlington. All three of the triples came in the second half. 
• Made two or more three-pointers four times.
• Hit 16 three-point baskets as a sophomore after making just one during his freshman season.
• Blocked a career-high five shots on Feb. 20 at Cal State Fullerton. 
• Had two or more blocked shots 10 times.
• Has fouled out of four games, the most on the team.


2018-2019
Sow had arguably the best freshman season in UCSB program history...Named Second Team All-Big West...Was second on the team in scoring at 12.2 points per game and paced the team at 6.6 rebounds...Set UCSB freshman records for points (391), field goals (150), field goal percentage (56.4%) and free throw attempts (127)...Had the second highest freshman marks for rebounds (210), scoring average (12.2) and free throws (90) and his 24 blocked shots were tied for fifth all-time...Averaged 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in Big West play...Scored a season-high 23 points and made all nine of his field goal attempts in the Mar. 9 regular season finale at Cal Poly...In all, Sow had four games of 20+ points including 22 on Jan. 12 vs. UC Riverside, 21 on Dec. 29 vs. San Francisco, and 20 on Feb. 2 at Hawai'i...UCSB was 4-0 when he had 20 or more points...Scored in double-figures 23 times, including the final nine games and 13 of the final 14...Posted double-doubles vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (12 points, 11 rebounds), at Hawai'i (20 points, 11 rebounds), vs. Long Beach State (13 points, career-high 15 rebounds) and vs. CSUN (16 points, 11 rebounds)...Collected 10 or more rebounds five times and had nine in four other games...After beginning the season by making 6-of-15 shots over the first two games, Sow mit 144-of-251 over the final 30 games, 57.4%...While he shot 70.9% from the free throw line for the season, he made 50-of-61 over his final 11 games, 82.0%.
