John Seavey is entering his fifth season at UC Santa Barbara. Seavey served his first 3 seasons as the Director of Player Development/Video Coordinator and is entering his second season as the Director of Basketball Operations after being promoted following the 2019-20 season. Seavey oversees all of the team’s travel, game scheduling, summer camps, video operations and analytics.

Prior to UC Santa Barbara, Seavey served as a Graduate Assistant under Sean Miller for the University of Arizona. During the 2016-17, Seavey was in charge of player development and opponent scouting for the Wildcats. From 2012 to 2016 Seavey was a student manager for the Arizona program and majored in Sports Management.

While in Arizona, Seavey was a part of teams that won three Pac-12 regular season championships two Pac-12 Tournament Championships, and appeared in a total of five NCAA Tournaments, including two Elite Eights and two Sweet Sixteens.
