The 2011-12 season will be Kevin Bromley's second as Bob Williams' assistant coach at UC Santa Barbara.  He served as the head coach at Cal Poly from 2001-09.

Bromley guided the Mustangs to their highest NCAA Division I victory total of 19 in the 2006-07 season. That same year, Cal Poly finished second in the Big West with a 9-5 record and advanced to the Big West Tournament championship game for the second time in school history. Bromley's squad also advanced to the title game in 2003.

During Bromley's tenure in San Luis Obispo, the Mustangs had nearly 20 players named to the Big West's all-league and all-freshman teams, and two earned Freshman of the Year honors.  His Mustang teams earned a reputation for playing outstanding offense and his teams were often at or near the top of the league's statisticsl leaders for points and three-point shooting.

Bromley is also an established recruiter and has outstanding recruiting ties in the midwest, as well as Northern and Southern California.

A native of Denver and a graduate of Colorado State, Bromley was Cal Poly's Associate Head Coach from 1995-2001. He took over the program on an interim basis during the 2000-01 season and then full-time in 2001-02. Prior to his arrival on the Central Coast, he spent time as an assistant coach at Southern Utah (1993-96), Cal Poly Pomona (1989-93), and Colorado State (1984-87). Bromley was also head coach at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon from 1987-89.

As a player, he played two seasons at Mid Plains Community College in Nebraska before a two-year stint at Colorado State.
