2016: One of the team captains, Perez appeared in 18 games with 17 starts in his senior campaign ... Registed 1,522 minutes of action on the field, sixth-most among UCSB outfield players ... Totaled a career-high three assists on the year ... After the season, received an All-Big West Honorable Mention, the first conference honor of his career ... Playing in a more defensive role, notched just seven shots on the year ... Set up Daniel Amo's goal against Butler on Sept. 9 for his first point of the year ... On Oct. 1, fed Kevin Feucht with a pass in the 92nd minute that led to a golden goal.
2015: In his true junior season, appeared in 22 games and made 17 starts out of the midfield ... Scored a pair of goals and added one assist for five points ... Played 1,463 minutes ... Took 15 shots and put four on goal ... The Gauchos won all three games in which Perez featured on the scoresheet ... Scored the game-winner on Sept. 11 at Yale ... Started all four of UCSB's postseason contests ... Played 90+ minutes five times and eclipsed the 100-minute mark in a 2-1 win against Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 10.
2014: Despite planning to use a redshirt, became a key figure of the Gauchos' midfield down the stretch ... Appeared in six games, all starts ... Recorded one goal and two assists for four points ... Accrued seven shots (four on frame) and was not booked ... All six appearances came after Oct. 22 and were against Big West opponents ... Team was 4-1-1 with him in the lineup ... Scored in his season debut on Oct. 22 against Sac State, redirecting an Ismaila Jome cross ... Assisted on goals against Cal poly on Oct. 25 and UC Irvine on Nov. 12 ... The latter assist occured in the Big West Tournament Semifinals.
2013: Appeared in nine games as a freshman, seeing time at defender and in the midfield ... Scored a goal in a 3-0 exhibition win over Westmont to open the season ... Registed a shot in a scoreless draw at Sacramento State on Nov. 6.

Played for The De Anza Force Academy and the San Jose Earthquakes Academy … Prior to joining the Earthquakes, he played club for San Juan Lightning, winning the 2010 Nomads Coaches Showcase, the 2010 NorCal Regional Cup, the 2010 Cal Cup, the 2009 Sac United Cup and the 2009 NorCal State Cup. Attended Harker High School and graduated in 2013 … Played the center-mid, forward and winger positions in the West Bay Athletic League … Academically, he was named to the Central Coast Section Scholastic Championship Team three-consecutive years.
