Totaled 1,721 minutes of action for the season, the most of any UCSB defender and third-most of any Gaucho player ... Assisted on an Ahinga Selemani goal against San Diego on Sept. 2, his first point of the year ... Had arguably his best performance of the year on Sept. 29 in the Big West Conference opener against UC Riverside, assisting on a Nick DePuy goal and then leaping in front of a goal-bound shot in overtime to preserve a 2-2 tie ... Also earned an assist in the season-opening exhibition against Westmont, finding Josue España with a cross from the left side.
2015: Appeared in all 23 games in his first season at UCSB, making 20 starts ... After the regular season, was named an All-Big West Honorable Mention ... Was used mostly as a left back ... Totaled one assist and six shots on the year ... Logged 1,814 minutes of action, second-most among the team's defenders behind team captain Duncan Backus ... Received one yellow card on the year ... Started the final 19 games of the campaign ... Contributed to seven team shutouts ... Played over 100 minutes in three different games, played 90 or more in 12 contests ... Was the team's starting left back in all four postseason games.
Cal State LA
Mendoza spent his true freshman season at Division-II Cal State LA, starting all 21 of the team's games en route to a 15-4-2 record and a West Regional Championship ... He logged 1,937 minutes on the pitch in 2014, more than any other outfield player on the CSULA roster ... With him on the back line, the Golden Eagles recorded a 0.41 goals-against-average, lower than any other team in Division II ... The left back accrued just one yellow card on the season.

Played for Santa Barbara Soccer Club, participating in two National Cups and winning the U-18 National Championship in 2014 ...
