2018: Built on a successful sophomore season to earn All-Big West First Team honors as a junior … Played in 23 matches and 81 sets while serving as the offensive focal point for UCSB … Led the team with 276 kills while his 3.41 kills per set average ranked Top-10 in the Big West … Second on the team with 30 service aces … Third on the team with 59 total blocks … Finished with 81 digs (1.00 digs per set) and 11 assists … Named Big West Player of the Week (Jan. 22) after racking up a career-high 24 kills while hitting .333 (24-9-45) with six total blocks in a 3-1 win at Pepperdine on Jan. 20 … Reached double-digit kill totals in 13 matches … Posted his lone double-double of the season with 13 kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 win vs. CSUN (Mar. 31) … Had another big game against the Waves with 22 kills while hitting .356 on Feb. 21 … Tallied 21 kills on two separate occasions; vs. Hawai’i on Apr. 7 and against CSUN in the Big West Tournament on Apr. 19 … Strung together three straight 13-kill performances at CSUN (Mar. 30), vs. CSUN (Mar. 31) and vs. Hawai’i (Apr. 6) … Logged a season-high seven total blocks in a 3-1 win at USC (Mar. 1) … Served up five service aces in a 3-0 sweep vs. Purdue Fort Wayne on Mar. 9 … Finished with multiple service aces in 10 matches.

2017: In his sophomore season, Chavers entered 22 matches and 78 sets ... Finished with 179 kills (2.29 per set), a .152 hitting percentage, 17 aces (0.22 per set), 70 digs (0.90 per set) and 57 blocks (0.73 per set) ... Ranked second on the team in kills per set, kills, total aces, and blocking ... Was at his best in early February, notching double-digit-kills in three straight matches from Feb. 3-8, including a season-high 18 at Hawai'i on Feb. 4 ... Had a total of five double-digit-kill performances ... Had 13 kills on a season-best .476 hitting percentage on Jan. 20 ... Had a season-high three aces in back-to-back matches against Long Beach State on Feb. 15 and UC San Diego on Feb. 24 ... Logged a 14-kill, 12-dig double-double at Pepperdine on Feb. 8, the first of his career ... Those dozen digs in Malibu were a season high. 

2016: Made 15 appearances with 11 starts as a true freshman, playing in a total of 37 sets ... Notched 74 kills (2.0 per set), nine aces, 42 digs, and 13 blocks ... All of his appearances came in the first 21 matches of the season ... Started his career off in fine fashion, notching a season-high 12 kills over four games at No. 8 Lewis in the season opener on Jan. 2 ... Had his best all-around performance on Feb. 26 against Cal Baptist, tallying 10 kills on a season-high .412 hitting percentage with two aces and six digs ... Had a season-high three aces against UC San Diego on Feb. 12.

Earned four varsity letters at Gahr High School under head coach Iris Murray ... Played outside hitter, middle blocker, and opposite for the Gladiators ... Led team in kills and blocks in both his junior and senior seasons ... Also led the Gladiators in aces as a senior ... Named the San Gabriel Valley League MVP in his senior season ... Two-time All-League and All-CIF Selection ... Was twice named to the Press-Telegram Dream Team ... Notable performances include: 29 kills, five blocks, five aces vs. Cathedral HS in the Third Round of the CIF Playoffs in 2015 and 23 kills, five blocks, three aces, eight digs vs. Camarillo High School in the CIF Second Round in 2014 ... Gladiators were Co-League Champs in 2015 ... Made it to the CIF Semifinals in 2015 and the Finals in 2014 ... Also competed in basketball ... Was listed on the President's Honor Roll.
