Biography
2024: Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll … appeared in four matches for the Gauchos this season … secured 45 kills, 15 digs and three blocks in that time … racked up a season-high 23 kills in a five-set match against Daemen (Feb. 2) … earned another double-digit performance against Pepperdine (Feb. 8), notching 18 kills to go along with eight digs.
2023: Started in two matches, playing in six sets for the Gauchos ... saw a double-double performance in a four-set match against BYU (Feb. 10) with 19 kills and 11 digs while also posting 11 blocks, an assist and a service ace ... could not play the rest of the season due to injury.
2022: Played in 22 out of the 28 matches during the season totaling 58 sets, primarily coming in as a serving specialist.
2021: Did not appear in any matches
HIGH SCHOOL: Played three years on the varsity team at Redondo Union High School ... named Bay League MVP while earning All-League First Team honors.
PERSONAL: Rees Kenneth Barnett was born on May 11, 2002 ... son of Kevin and Arian Barnett ... nicknamed Barney.
