HIGH SCHOOL
Barret earned three varsity letters at New Trier Township Highschool as a 2MD, Utility, and Center for coach David R. Fluttus and the Trevians...Scored 56 goals, 20 assists, 39 steals, and drew 17 ejections in 2018...Earned Rookie of the Year in 2016, MVP, All-Section, and All-Conference in 2018, and All-Section, All-Conference, and All-State in 2019...Helped lead the Trevians to the first State Championship and Runner Up in the school's history...Conference champs from 2016-2019 and Sectional champs in 2017 and 2019...On 5-17-19 against Lyons Township HS, Barret guarded the Player of the Year and the highest scorer in the state, holding him to zero goals...Most memorable moment was accidentally falling off the blocks into the pool at a championship meet...Also played soccer and held the Honor Roll all four years.

Benjamin Olaf Barret was born on October 6, 2000 in Evanston to parents Ann and John...Grew up in Chicago with his older siblings Annie (26), Charlie (24), and lauren (21)...Plans on majoring in Econ/Accounting at UCSB with a possible minor in spanish and wants to become a business owner...Roots for the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls, and his favorite athlete is Michael Jordan...Likes to fish or play soccer in his free time...Favorite movies are Goodwill Hunting and The Benchwarmers, his TV shows are Game of Thrones and The Office... Loves the Harry Potter series and author JK Rowling...Listens to the Doobie Brothers, Migos, and Tame Impala.
