Played in 31 games while making 29 starts as a junior…Averaged 2.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game…Finished third on the team with 115 total rebounds and six blocks…Scored a season-high 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting at San Diego on Nov. 25…Tied a career-high with 11 rebounds in the second game of the year against Pepperdine (Nov. 15)…Also pulled down a season-high four offensive rebounds against the Waves…Had another double-digit rebound game with 10 boards while tallying a setting a career-high with three assists against UC Riverside on Jan. 14.
2015-16
Played in 32 games with 28 starts…Came off the bench in the first four games, capped off by an 11-point, three-steal performance at Oregon…That game earned her a start in the next game versus UT Rio Grande Valley and she held that role through the end of the season…Averaged 5.6 points per game and went 45.2 percent from the field...Her 179 points, which was the most among UCSB’s post players…Finished third on the team with 4.7 rebounds per game...Led the Gauchos with 150 rebounds…Led the team with 59 offensive rebounds…Fourth on the team with 1.3 steals per game…Third on the team with 13 blocks…Recorded career-highs in every major category…Scored a season-high 18 points versus Morehead State after shooting 6-10 from the field…Grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds versus Cal Poly…Also recorded a season-high four steals in that Cal Poly game…Delivered a season-high two assists twice…Recorded a season-high two blocks three times.
2014-15
In her freshman season, Durr played in 20 games and made six starts…Before missing nine games to injury, Durr opened the year by playing in each of UCSB’s first 15 games and was a starter in six of them…During that stretch, she reached a season-highs of 27 minutes played and 15 points off her 5-9 shooting performance at Bakersfield (1/6/15)…She grabbed a season-high of eight rebounds twice, while she picked up a personal-best five steals versus Washington State (12/4/14)…She set a career-high with two blocks against Cal Poly (1/10/15)…Shot 38.4 percent from the floor and 62.2 percent at the foul line, averaging 4.0 points per game…Was fourth on the team with 3.1 rebounds per game.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for two seasons at Sacramento High under coach Michelle Massari…Was a McDonald’s All-American nominee, while ESPN graded her as an 89 overall player and also ranked her No. 38 among wing players, which is a UCSB recruit’s highest ranking since Melissa Zornig (30)…She played with fellow Gaucho Jasmine Ware for a season (2011-12)… Durr had to sat out her senior season with an knee injury…In her previous two seasons as a member of the varsity team, the Dragons won back-to-back Metro League and sectional championships…As a junior, she led her team to league and sectional championships with a trip to the CIF State playoffs…She was named to First Team All-Metro League and the Div. II Sectional Most Outstanding Player after averaging 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a block per game…That same season, she put up a strong performance against Carondelet (12/29/12) with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals...She also dropped 27 points and collected 13 rebounds and seven swipes against Fiorin (3/2/13)…During her sophomore campaign, Durr was named First Team All-City and All-Metro League Honorable Mention after recording 12 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and pair of blocks per game…That same season, she helped her team reach the NorCal semifinals…Durr was an honor roll student for all four years.
PERSONAL
Chaya Raquel Durr was born January 30, 1996 in Sacramento, Calif. to parents Charlene and Raphael…She has a younger brother named Cinco…She roots for the Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bears…Her favorite professional athletes are Kevin Durant and Candice Parker…Love+Basketball is her favorite movie…She enjoys watching Big Brother and Bad Girls Club…She likes to read Jubilee and the works of Maya Angelou…She enjoys listening to Auguest Alsina…In her free time, she likes to shop and play sports…Durr also competed on Sacrmento High’s volleyball team where she was four-year varsity letter winner and was named the Metro League MVP in 2013…Was also recruited by Hawai’i, Utah, and San Diego…She is undecided on her major, but has aspirations to be a doctor.
