2014-15
In her freshman season, Farris played in 21 games, making 11 starts and averaging 23.1 minutes per game (highest among the freshmen)…She ended the season by starting the final eight games and logged in at least 31 minutes in seven of them…She shot 27.2 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent at the foul line, averaging 2.8 points per game…She ranked first on the team with 1.8 steals per game, was second with 4.6 rebounds per game, and was tied for third (leading all front court players) with 1.2 assists per contest…Scored a season-high six points in three games and eight rebounds twice…She recorded career-bests of five assists at UC Riverside (1/22/15), made five steals versus Cal State Northridge (2/14/15), and had three blocks against UC Riverside (2/19/15)…Played in all 40 minutes in UCSB’s game at Long Beach State (2/12/15).
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four varsity letters at Renton High School under coach Tim White…Farris finished high school with a 51% career field goal shooting percentage…As a senior, she led the Indians in points (20.9), rebounds (10.6), assists (4.8), steals (7.3), and blocks (4.1) per game…Was League MVP and First Team All-League as a junior when she averaged 23 points and 9.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 4.6 steals per game…That season, she led Renton to a third-place finish at the 2A State Tournament, the team’s best finish since 1987…As a sophomore, she took on the role as team captain and earned First Team All-League accolades behind her 12.2 ppg and 10.8 averages…Farris’s had an impressive freshman campaign with the Indians, as she averaged 11.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per contest, and was named Second Team All-League…She was a starter through the entirety of her high school career and averaged 16.6 points and 10.4 rebounds over her four seasons…She was an honor student at Renton all four years.

Taylor Mackenzie Farris was born February 2, 1996 in Kirkland, Wash. to parents Sue and Ottis...She roots for the Seattle Storm, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and both the LA Lakers and Clippers…Among her favorite athletes are Sue Bird, Kevin Durant, and Blake Griffin…Her most memorable athletic achievement is signing her letter of intent to UCSB…Her favorite movies are Juwanna Man, White Chicks, and Love+Basketball…She enjoys watching Switched at Birth and the Game…In her free time, she likes to play sports and buy shoes…Farris was also recruited by Rice…She has not decided on a major but is considering engineering, psychology, or kinesiology...She hopes to play professional basketball.
