As a freshman, Johnson played in 15 games and started the last 10 games of the season...Relied on as part of a Gaucho defense that allowed just 23 goals in 22 games this season...Played full 110 minutes in two tie games against Pacific and Cal Poly...She did not shoot or pass for an assist.

Danika Johnson attended Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego...Coached by Dawn Lee...Helped pace Cathedral Catholic to CIF and Western League titles in 2007...Assisted on eight goals as a senior, the most of any defender on the team...Named Second Team All-CIF and Second Team All-Western League both as a senior and junior...As a freshman, Johnson played at Patrick Henry High School where she was a varsity starter...Competed for the San Diego Surf at the club level...During her time with the Surf, they were two-time Cal South National Cup champions, GU-19 Presidio Premier Elite League champions, and Region IV finalist...Coached by Colin Chesters.
