Purcell saw limited action in eight matches during her freshman season...Did not attempt a shot, but she did assist on a pair of goals...Her first assist came on a Brittney McKinney goal in a win over visiting Cleveland State and second was on a score by McKinsey Martinez in a UCSB victory over Duquesne. 

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Purcell competed at Torrey Pines High School...Because of injuries, she did not play until her senior season in 2013-14 and in her one year she played in 13 games while scoring one goal and one assist...Torrey Pines went 23-3-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the Palomar League, advancing to the Cailifornia State Tournament where they advanced to the second round of the Southern California Regional...Played for Martyn Hansford...Purcell played for the San Diego Surf...Team captain from 2006-2012...Helped team to the 2013 U-17 Surf Cup championship, the 2011 Surf Cup Thanksgiving Finals, the 2011 Nike Manchester Cup semifinals and the 2010 U-13 Far West Regional IV championship...Member of the Cal South Olympic Development Summer and Winter Pool since 2009...Played for Ada Greenwood with the Surf.

PERSONAL
Purcell was born in Dublin, Ireland...She is the daughter of Aine and Ger Purcell...At Torrey Pines High School, she was heavily involved in a program called Peer Assistant Listeners and as part of that program, she was in charge of facilitating events such as Red Ribbon (drug/alcohol awareness) and Yellow Ribbon (suicide awareness) Weeks as well as one-on-one student counseling and incoming student readiness...Hopes to major in economics and accounting and would like to become an accountant.
