As a freshman, Alex saw action in 23 matches. For the season, she recorded 69 kills and 36 digs, ranking fourth in both categories among UCSB outsides. Though she mostly served as a backup, she excelled when given a start, evidenced by her 15 kill, nine dig performance against Georgia Southern on Sep. 8.

High School 
Attended Salinas High School...played under Coach Andy Mandon... CCS Champions Nor-Cal Champions and California State runner-up sophomore year...Was first team All-league and All-county junior year... Was All-league MVP and All-county MVP her senior year.

Club 
Played for Main beach for two years... All tournament MVP national division... Gold Medalist in the 16's National... Also played for City Beach club for two years.

Alex Barbeau was born on April 4, 1995 in Chicago, Illinois, by parents Brad and Rosie Marie Barbeau...Currently resides in Salinas, Calif... Has one sibling, Chris, 20... Hopes to major in Physiology in hopes to become an orthopedic surgeon... Favorite sports team is the Cowboys...
