Played in 92 sets through 27 matches…For the second season in a row, led the Gauchos with 243 kills, averaging 2.64 per set…Picked up a career-high 154 digs, averaging 1.67 per game, which was the best among outside hitters…Finished with 27 blocks (six solo), which is also the best among outside hitters…Fifth on the team with 13 service aces…Recorded a career-high 13 assists…Tallied 272.5 total points with a 3.0 per set, which are both tops on the team…Had a season-high 19.5 points versus Rice when she had season-bests 15 kills and five total blocks…Swung for a season-high 15 kills in three straight matches, all at the Yale Invitational…Scooped up a season-best 18 digs at Yale…Recorded a season-best two service aces in four matches.
2014
First Team All-Big West
For the second consecutive season, Barbeau was named First Team-All Big West after leading the Gauchos with 265 kills (2.70 per set)…Of the 17 players named to first team all-league, Barbeau was one of only four players to have made the team for at least the second time…During conference play, she swung for 180 kills, ranking ninth in the Big West…In pacing the team with 30 service aces (which also ranked eighth in the Big West), the junior was the only Gaucho to eclipse the 300-point mark in points (311.5, 3.2 per set)…In being one of three members of the team to appear in all 27 matches and 98 sets, Barbeau picked up 148 digs (1.51 digs per set) and recorded 26 total blocks (0.27 per set)…She saved one of her best performances in the five-set home finale against Hawaii (11/21/14) when she tallied season-highs of 22 kills and 15 digs, while finishing with a .288 kill percentage and a pair of blocks…It was one of her three double-doubles of the year…She followed up that game with a 16-kill, .400 hit percentage outing in a four-set win at Cal Poly (11/26/14) where she also had 12 digs…At the team’s year end banquet, she was selected by her teammates as co-MVP with Ali Spindt.
2013
First Team All-Big West
Ali Barbeau's sophomore campaign included playing in all 29 matches and 107 sets for the Gauchos...Ranked third on the team in kills (267) and kills per set (2.5)...Recorded 815 total attacks, second most on the team, and 99 digs with 0.93 digs per set...Had season-highs of 19 kills in a win against UC Davis on Oct. 19 and 12 digs on Oct. 7 against Virginia...On 14 different occasions Barbeau put up double digits in kills...Had the final kill in the fifth set for a thrilling victory over New Mexico State on Aug. 31...Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Cal Molten Classic.
2012
As a freshman, Ali saw action in 23 matches. For the season, she recorded 69 kills and 36 digs, ranking fourth in both categories among UCSB outsides. Though she mostly served as a backup, she excelled when given a start, evidenced by her 15 kill, nine dig performance against Georgia Southern on Sep. 8.

Attended Salinas High School...played under Coach Andy Mandon... CCS Champions Nor-Cal Champions and California State runner-up sophomore year...Was first team All-league and All-county junior year... Was All-league MVP and All-county MVP her senior year.
