Hannah McGlockton will begin her first season as an assistant coach with the Gauchos during the 2023-24 season. She brings collegiate coaching and playing experience into this role. 

McGlockton comes to UC Santa Barbara from Colby College, a Division III college in Maine. She served as an assistant coach for the Mules during the 2022 season, helping Colby to a 14-9 record and a bid to the NESCAC tournament for the first time in seven seasons. This was also the team’s first time finishing above .500 since the 2015.

Prior to that, McGlockton wrapped up her playing career at Georgia Southern. Over her two-year career with the Eagles, she put up 305 kills, 48 digs and 35 blocks as an outside hitter. She also registered double-digit kills in 14 of the 27 matches she appeared in. Along with all of that, McGlockton was named to the 2021-22 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll and 2020-21 Sun Belt Commissioner’s List.
