Played in 72 sets through 26 matches…Led UCSB’s underclassmen with 105 kills and 1.46 kills per set…Swung at a .122 hitting percentage…Reached a career-high with 12 kills versus Cal Poly (10/29/15)…Picked up a season-high five digs on three occasions…Recorded a career-high five total blocks versus UC Irvine (11/7/15)…Dealt a season-high three service aces versus San Diego State (9/19/15)…Finished the year with 51 digs, 0.71 per set, five assists, five service aces, and 25 total blocks.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played most recently Menlo-Atherton High School under coach Ron Witmill and previously attended Saint Francis High School where she competed under coach Leahi Hall…As a senior, Joos led the Bears to a CIF Div. I Championship, a perfect 14-0 league record and an appearance in the state semifinals… At the end of the season, her school finished 11th in California and 47th in the nation…Her individual play as a senior earned her San Mateo Female Player of the Year, Pacific Athletic League MVP, Max Preps First Team All-State, First Team All-League, Mercury News First Team, Mercury News Player of the Week, and Palo Alto Player of the Week honors…That year, she paced the Bears with 450 kills…She was also a team captain…As a junior, she led her team with 5.1 kills per set and had as many as 39 kills in a single match…In the 2013 CIF Championship, Joos led the Bears with 18 kills off her .350 hitting percentage while also picked up 10 digs…In her team's following match in the state semifinals, Joos led all players with 23 kills and 27 digs, while also recording four solo blocks…She finished the 2013 season as a member of Pacific Athletic League second team…She also competed in basketball in her freshman year at Saint Francis and was pulled up to the varsity team during the Central Coast Sectional.

In 2013, Vision 17 Gold was ranked 15th in the nation by Prepvolleyball.com…The Red Rock 16 Black team she played with was ranked 10th in the nation by Prepvolleyball.com…With Vision 15 Gold, she placed third at the Junior Nationals American Division…As team captain of Vision 14, she led her team to a top-10 national ranking…Her Vision 13 team was also ranked among the top-10 in the nation.

Devin Taylor Joos was born on December 2, 1996 in Mountain View, Calif. to parents Lisa and Devon…Was named after her father...Has an older brother named Lawson…She goes by the nickname Devo…Her favorite athlete is Usain Bolt…In her free time, she loves making art, traveling, being outdoors, working out and hanging out with friends…She is currently creating commissioned artwork, as she is pursuing her art major.
