Moran played in 25 games as a redshirt sophomore, gathering 14 goals and eight assists... Her 22 points were good for the seventh-most on the team... Also had 19 steals, four field blocks, two drawn exclusions and a .304 shooting percentage.

Played 6 games in her redshirt freshman season… Earned a 2017 Association of Water Polo Coaches All-Academic Award for superior achievement in the classroom.

Played for four seasons as an attacker at Miramonte High School under coach Trevor Rose… Was a team captain as a senior and led her team to a second place finish in the CIF North Coast Sectionals for the second consecutive year… In 2013, she was named Second Team All-East Bay and Second Team All-League (Diablo Foothill Athletic League)… She also competed in swim and was named team captain for her senior year.

Competed at the Diablo Water Polo Club for eight years under coach Maureen O’Toole Purcell… Played in the Junior Olympics in every year from 2008-2015… With the Olympic Development Program, she was a part the Pacific Zone Training Team from 2011-13 and the Cadet Team Selection Camp (NTSC) in 2013.

Shannon Duffy Moran was born on July 14, 1997 in Orinda, California to parents Cathy and Andrew… She has an older sister named Grace and a younger sister named Melanie…Her most memorable athletic achievement was competing in the CIF Championship game as a senior against Campolindo… Her favorite athlete is Mo O’Toole Purcell (her club coach)…Enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, How I Met Your Mother… Favorite musician is Adele… In her free time, she likes watching Netflix and hanging our with her friends…Was involved in the National Charity League-Lamorinda Chapter from 6th-12th grades… Favorite after practice snacks are avocados and chocolate milk… Her favorite parts of UCSB are the beach, the weather, and the community… Her dad, two uncles, aunt, and cousin all attended UCSB.
