Gauchos Lose 2-1 to Dayton Flyers

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos' five match win streak was snapped as the Gauchos lost to the Dayton Flyers by a score of 2-1.

The Gauchos record currently stands at 5-3-1 after the loss. 

The first goal of the match was scored in the 40th minute by Dayton's Libby Leedom, who recieved a cross from Alexis Kiehl into the middle of the box and was able to one-time the ball into the bottom left of the goal.

The Gauchos answered back in the second half as Sara Feder recieved a cross in the box from teammate Mallory Hromatko and headed the ball into the bottom right of the net.

However, Dayton came back as the Flyer's Ashley Campbell scored her 50th career goal on a screamer that reached the the far post. 

The Gauchos head to Bakersfield on Wednesday, Sept. 23 to take on the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners. The Roadrunners have an overall record of 2-5-1 and are just 1-2 at home. That match wil be taking place at 7 p.m.
