CARLSBAD, Calif. - Brandon Bueno shot a 4-over par 220, tying for third-place and also leading UC Santa Barbara to a third-place tie at the UC San Diego Invitational played on the La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif., on Tuesday.
As a team, the Gauchos finished with a +40, 904 and tied with UC Irvine for third. A pair of Utah schools finished 1-2 for the team title with Utah State (893, +29) and Southern Utah (897, +33) finishing atop the standings.
For Bueno, it was his highest finish as a collegiate player. He came into Tuesday's final round at 1-over par and shot a 3-over 75 to finish at 220.
