IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West has announced this week's Players of the Week for women's volleyball. Based on her performances against Cal Poly and Hawai'i,
Tasia Farmer was named as the Offensive Player of the Week.
During this week's matches, Farmer averaged 4.25 kills per set to go along with a .517 hitting percentage. Farmer had a career-high 18 kills against Cal Poly in just three sets, only making two errors on a total of 14 swings to hit at a .667 clip. She followed that up with 16 kills against Hawai'i while hitting efficiently at .412.
Farmer and the Gauchos will play two matches this week beginning on Thursday when they travel to Cal State Bakersfield to take on the Roadrunners before coming back to The Thunderdome on Saturday to face the CSUN Matadors. The Gauchos are currently 18-2 overall and 8-0 in Big West play.
