RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2023) – Two weeks after their previous meet, the UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will head to Riverside on Saturday, Sept. 16 to compete in the UC Riverside Invitational. The Gauchos will be facing runners from outside the Big West, as universities from all over California and the west are coming to compete.

Race 1: Women's 6k at 7:15 a.m.
Race 2: Men's 8k at 7:50 a.m. 
Location: UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course
Forecast: Around 60º, with highs of 86º in the afternoon and patchy clouds.

LAST MEET
UC Santa Barbara Cross Country started their season at the Big West Preview, hosted by Cal Poly. The men placed second out of nine teams, led by Ethan Godsey and Manan Vats, who finished fifth and eighth. The women placed fourth out of 10 teams, behind front runner Stina Johansson, who placed sixth overall.  

NEXT UP
For the final meet of September, the Gauchos will head to Springfield, Ore. for the Dellinger Invitational hosted by the University of Oregon on Sept. 22. The first meet of October will be in Madison, Wisconsin, where the Gauchos will visit the Badgers for the Nuttycombe Invite on Oct. 14.
