EUGENE, Ore. (Sept. 19, 2023) – The UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are set to travel up to the University of Oregon for the Dellinger Invite on Friday, Sept. 19. After a week's rest from their previous meet, the Gauchos are ready to showcase their dedication and talent on their next cross country course.

Race 1: Men's 8k at 11:00 a.m.
Race 2: Women's 6k at 11:45 a.m. 
Location: Pine Ridge Golf Club, Springfield, Ore. 
Forecast: Mid 60s, with highs of 80º and low wind.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS
The University of Oregon, BYU (Women's), Cal, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Lewis & Clark, Montana, Oregon State (Women's), University of Portland, Sacramento State, San Diego State (Women's), St. Mary's (Men's), UC Davis, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara and UCLA.

LAST MEET
The Gauchos attended the UC Riverside Invitational, where the men placed 15th out of 22 teams and the women placed 12th out of 21 teams. Leading runners Gus Marshall and Aakersh Mathur finished first for the men, while Leah Mendibles and Lexi Darley led the way for the women. 

NEXT UP
The Gauchos will have a couple of weeks to prepare before they head to their final meet of the regular season, the Bronco Invitational, which will be hosted by Santa Clara University on Saturday, Oct. 14. Finally, UC Santa Barbara Cross Country will attend The Big West Championships, held in Cal Poly on Oct. 27.
