MALIBU, CALIF: After a rejuvenating winter break filled with training and preparing for the New Year, the UC Santa Barbara swim teams are set to return to the pool this Saturday in a thrilling dual meet against California Baptist and UC Davis. Both the men's and women's teams are prepared to face off against the formidable California Baptist competitors, with the women's team additionally set to take on the UC Davis Aggies. This exciting meet, unfolding on Saturday, Jan. 13, at Pepperdine University in Malibu, at 12:00 pm.
As the team eagerly looks forward to the first meet of the new year, head coach Coach Jaclyn Rosen offers a straightforward insight, stating, "Our winter training has been strong, and we're feeling good about where we are. With just six weeks to go until the MPSF Championships in Utah, there's a genuine sense of excitement among us."
History Against CBU and UC Davis:
In last year's January clash against the Cal Baptist Lancers, both the men's and women's teams secured victories. The men's team dominated with a score of 163-96, while the women's team outperformed with a score of 189-79. Shifting to the team's history against UC Davis, in the previous year's matchup, the women faced a setback against the Aggies, concluding with a final score of 163-130 in favor of UC Davis.

For noteworthy performances, direct your attention to the men's 1000-yard freestyle, the men's 200 freestyle, and the men's 200 backstroke during the upcoming meet. Admission to the meet will be completely free, however due to limited bleacher space, Pepperdine encourages bringing a chair or blanket to sit on the hillside.
