Kiss Picks up Top 25 Win, But Gauchos Fall to No. 3 Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team faced stiff competition Saturday afternoon. The Gauchos took on No. 3-ranked Stanford and fell 6-1. The Gauchos' lone point came from Camille Kiss who defeated the No. 21 singles player.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinal got out to a quick start winning on all three doubles courts and securing the point. Camille Kiss and Lucy Lu gave their No. 46-ranked opponent a battle but fell 6-4.
 
Stanford quickly rattled off four straight-set victories on courts three through six. After clinching the match the Cardinal and Gauchos played on. Camille Kiss earned the lone Santa Barbara point with a three-set victory over No. 21 ranked Alexandra Yepifanova in the No. 2 position. Amelia Honer gave No. 12-ranked Connie Ma all she could handle. Although Ma won in straight sets, Honer took both to tie breakers falling 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6).
