LOS ANGELES, Calif. – After getting back in the win column the Gauchos rolled into their match against No. 8 USC with a lot of momentum. Unfortunately, the UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team fell to the Trojans 6-1, on Monday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The match opened with tough doubles competition as the first advantage went to the Trojans. On court two Lucy Lu and Camille Kiss fell 6-3. The Trojans earned the doubles point after a battle on court three. The 29th-ranked doubles duo of Fry and Piper defeated Carla Pacot and Tyra Richardson, 6-4. On court one, Amelia Honer and Kira Reuter were leading 5-4 before the match was abandoned.
 
The Gauchos and Trojans moved to singles competition where USC rattled off five straight set wins. Amelia Honer earned the lone point for the Gauchos on court one defeating No. 60 Snow Han. A tough 7-5 win in set one helped propel Honer to a 6-2 victory in set two and earn at least one point for the Gauchos.
