Gaucho Swimmers Gear Up for Last Chance Invitational in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev.: This Friday, a select group of Gaucho swimmers will embark on a journey to Las Vegas for the Last Chance Invitational hosted by the UNLV Rebels. This meet presents a crucial opportunity for these athletes to qualify for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Championships at the end of March. Among the competitors representing Santa Barbara this weekend are Austin Sparrow, Kyle Brill, Matt Driscoll, Henry Adamson, and Annie Andres.

The meet will unfold across two distinct sessions. In the initial session, solely dedicated to short course races (25 meter long laps), swimmers will compete for the chance to secure qualifications for the NCAA Championships. The subsequent session will expand the competition arena to include long course races (50 meter long laps), offering athletes a dual opportunity to qualify not only for the NCAA championship but also for the prestigious Olympic Trials. The Gaucho's roster is brimming with swimmers primed to shine in both sessions, highlighting their adaptability and drive in the aquatic arena.

Friday's short course events are scheduled to commence at 2 p.m., followed by the long course events kicking off at 5 p.m.
