SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Track and Field team had a lot to be proud from the 2024 campaign. Here are some of the accomplishments of these athletes:
SCHOOL RECORDS
During this season, there were four Gauchos that broke school records, and they were:
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
To go along with record-breaking performances, there were three Gauchos who earned Big West Athlete of the Week honors during the season. They are:
TOP FIVE ALL-TIME PERFORMANCES
On top of some record-breaking performances, there were others that etched their names into the record books with some of the best performances in UC Santa Barbara history. Here are those athletes who earned their spot in the record book this season:
NATIONAL SUCCESS
Rounding out the year were two of the distance runners who traveled to the U.S. Track and Field U20 Championships.
Parker Simmons and
Manny Correia competed in the 3,000m Steeplechase, where Simmons finished in third place with a new personal-best of 8:57.32.

In the meantime, follow along with the U.S. Olympic Trials as three former Gauchos are competing in in their respective events as Hope Bender took part in the heptathlon, Katie Camarena will compete in the 5,000m and 10,000m, and Stephanie Rothstein Bruce will compete in the 10,000m.
