Thibodeau Tabs Camille Kiss as Assistant Coach

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis head coach Simon Thibodeau has announced Camille Kiss as the Gauchos next Assistant Coach. Kiss returns to Santa Barbara after spending some time playing in Pro ITF and PTT events.

"We're thrilled to welcome Camille Kiss back to UCSB, this time as our new women's tennis assistant coach," said Thibodeau. "As a former Gaucho standout who competed fiercely for us over four years, Camille always brought unmatched professionalism, dedication, and consistency to every single practice. Camille knows exactly what it takes to compete and win against the nation's best teams. Now she will bring that same work ethic on and off the court as our assistant while helping to guide our team through their college journey and grow and succeed. Camille is already very familiar with our UCSB campus, our facilities, and the Santa Barbara community; it'll be a smooth transition for her and for the team. We can't wait for her to get started."

In her first season in the Blue and Gold, Camille was named The Big West Freshman of the Year and earned Big West First Team honors in singles. The Redlands, California native went on to earn First Team selections two other times and was named Second Team in the 2022 season.

Kiss joins a Gauchos squad coming off a 17-9 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in conference. The Gauchos were both regular-season and Tournament Champions, earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they advanced to the second round.
