Last Time Out
Both the men's and women's teams went 1-1 in their dual meets against Cal Baptist, San Diego State, and the University of Denver. The Blue and Gold won both meets against Cal Baptist and lost the head to heads to San Diego State (Women's) and University of Denver (Men's).
Samantha Banos continued her domination in the 200 Fly, taking home another season best of 1:57.56 to go along with her three first-place finishes. She has won the Big West Athlete of Week award three times so far this season and looks to continue her streak again this Friday. Owen Berry, Elek Zettle, and Mason Wendler will look to go for the Gaucho podium sweep again this week in Men's 200 free like they did at Cal Baptist. Owen Berry took home first with a time of 1:36.9, Elek Zettle brought the silver back to Santa Barbara with a time of 1:38.31. Finally Mason Wendler capped off the Blue and Gold's 200 Free sweep with a time of 1:38.52.
A Look Ahead
After this Friday in Malibu, the Gauchos will begin to prepare to travel to Annapolis, Maryland for the Navy Invite. The Navy Invitation will take place over the course of Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, 22 and will be the final meet of 2025.
