Swim Hires Ezra Dickerson as Assistant Coach

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Head Men's and Women's Swim Coach Jaclyn Rosen has announced the addition of Assistant Coach Ezra Dickerson. The Louisiana State (LSU) graduate joins the Gauchos after serving as a Graduate Student Coach at LSU last season.

"We're incredibly excited to welcome Ezra Dickerson to Santa Barbara," said Rosen. "His experience as an athlete gives him a strong foundation, but what really stood out to us is his enthusiasm for teaching, coaching, and helping athletes grow. Ezra brings great energy and a genuine passion for the sport, and we're excited to have him join our Gaucho family."

Prior to becoming a graduate student coach, Dickerson was a four-year student-athlete for the Tigers. The Saint Michael, Minnesota, native holds five top-10 times for LSU, including times in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke, 100-freestyle, 50-freestyle and 200 individual medley. Along with his accomplishments in the water, he was also a three-time Academic Honor Roll selection in the classroom.

In high school, Ezra was a four-time All-State selection, earning 12 varsity letters competing both in swim and tennis. He graduated with honors from St. Michael-Albertville and was named the 2020-21 student-athlete of the year.

Dickerson is set to join Gaucho squads that took fourth on the men's side and third on the women's side in The Big West Championships.
