UC Santa Barbara Men's Water Polo ACWPC All-Americans

Lentin and Zamanian Named All-Americans

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The UC Santa Barbara Men's Water Polo team's two veteran leaders are going out as All-Americans, as the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches named Levi Lentin and Brock Zamanian All-America Honorable Mentions on Friday. It is a first career All-America selection for Lentin and a second in as many years for Zamanian, as the two redshirt seniors each completed strong fifth seasons in the Blue and Gold this fall.

Now a two-time All-American, Zamanian managed to improve on his immense 2024 campaign for 2025. After a 52-goal campaign last year, he rattled off 59 this season, improving from the All-Big West Second Team to the first team. Adding 22 assists, he finished second in the conference in total points, thanks in large part to a surge to end the season. After recording hat-tricks in three straight games early in the season, he repeated the trick in the home stretch, scoring four times against preseason favorite Long Beach State, four more against eventual conference champs UC Davis and six against eventual national runners-up USC. His four against the Aggies helped the Gauchos turn the tide in that game to upset then-No. 6 UC Davis and secure the no. 2 seed for The Big West Championship. When the waves settled, Zamanian had cemented his name in program history with 162 career goals — eighth-most all-time.

Fellow fifth-year Gaucho Lentin joined Zamanian in the annals of UC Santa Barbara history in 2025, racking up his 500th save in Blue and Gold on Sept. 28 and going on to finish sixth on the career saves chart, with 594. He also made a huge contribution to that season-defining win over Davis, making a career-high 17 stops in the match, one of his eight double-digit-save outings on the season. And, after back-to-back seasons on the All-Big West Second Team, Lentin made the jump in 2025 and earned All-Big West First Team honors, effectively crowning him the top goalie in the conference.

Together, Lentin and Zamanian helped Santa Barbara exceed expectations in 2025. The Gauchos finished in second place in The Big West after being picked to finish fifth in the six-team conference before the season. On the way, they upset the No. 6 team in the country on three different occasions and added a fourth top-ten upset with their toppling of then-No. 10 Pacific in September. The team finished with a 17-14 record, their third 17-plus-win campaign in the last five years.
