RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The No. 50 UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team swept UC Riverside 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the SRC Tennis Courts. All six singles courts won in straight sets with Carla Pacot making her first appearance of her sophomore spring season and clinching the win for the Gauchos.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles saw a slow start for the Gauchos as the Highlanders took court two 6-1 to kick things off. Raphaelle Leroux and Emma Tutoveanu got the Gauchos back in the running for the doubles point with a swift 6-2 win. Lily Pradkin and Ali Benedetto secured a 6-4 victory on court one to clinch the first point for the Blue and Gold.

It was lights out from start to finish as the Gauchos headed into singles play. Raphaelle Leroux and Katarina Vayser got the Gauchos within one point of the win with commanding wins on courts two and five, respectively. Carla Pacot clinched the last point needed for the Gauchos with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court six. Tyra Richardson and Ali Benedetto would continue the dominant day with their own straight set victories. Emma Tutoveanu closed out the day with the seventh point for the Gauchos, 6-2, 7-5.
