SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara will host their second straight home meet at UCSB Sam Adams Combined Events on Wednesday, March 5 after an immaculate performance at Gaucho Relays the previous weekend. The meet will take place at the Pauley Track and will be a two-day event going into Thursday, March 6. Each day will feature the Decathlon and Heptathlon split into two days of competition.
MEET SCHEDULE
On the first day of the meet, five of the ten events making up the decathlon will take place while four of the seven events included in the heptathlon will commence.
Starting at 12:00 p.m. the 100m dash will be the first event of the decathlon, followed by the long jump at 12:45 p.m., shot put at 2:00 p.m., high jump at 3:00 p.m., and 400m at 5:00 p.m.
For the heptathlon, the 100m hurdles will start at 12:30 p.m., with high jump at 1:15 p.m., shot put at 3:00 p.m., and the 200m dash at 4:00 p.m.
The latter halves of both the decathlon and heptathlon will happen on the second day of the meet, where the decathlon will resume with the 110m hurdles at 11:00 a.m. The discus will follow at 11:45 a.m. as well as the pole vault at 1:00 p.m., javelin at 3:30 p.m., and 1500m race at 4:45 p.m.
As far as the heptathlon is concerned, events will resume at 12:00 p.m. with the long jump and the javelin at 1:15 p.m. The 800m race will be the final event for the heptathletes at 2:15 p.m.

After the Gauchos conclude at UCSB Multis, Santa Barbara will pack their bags for the Long Beach Opener in Long Beach, Calif. The meet will commence the next day on March 7 and continue on through March 8, giving UC Santa Barbara four straight days of competition.
