The Gauchos got off to a fast start in doubles, with
Amelia Honer and
Marie Weissheim dominating their match 6-1 on court one. LMU responded with a win on court three, as Zahraj and Samel-Druz defeated
Ali Benedetto and
Emma Tutoveanu 6-3. The pivotal doubles point came down to court two, where
Lily Pradkin and
Lucy Lu secured a hard-fought 6-4 victory to give UCSB the early 1-0 lead.
In singles, UCSB continued its strong play.
Raphaelle Leroux cruised to a swift 6-1, 6-1 win on court six to open the scoring.
Marie Weissheim followed with a 6-2, 6-3 victory on court two.
Tyra Richardson kept the momentum rolling with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win on court three, putting UCSB one point away from victory.
