SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's and Men's Track & Field teams will get a break from travelling as they are set to host the UC Santa Barbara Invite this Friday and Saturday on April 25-26 at the Pauley Track. The first day will consist of throwing events, and the second day will consist of the rest of the field events and all track events. 

MEET SCHEDULE

On the first day of events, the Gauchos will compete in both the discus and shot put, with the men's discus kicking things off at 2 p.m, women's discus at 3 p.m., men's shot put at 4:30 p.m., and the women's shot put concluding the day at 5:15 p.m.

Saturday will begin with field events, as the men's hammer will set things in motion at 9 a.m., followed by the women's high jump at 10 a.m., women's pole vault at 10:30 a.m., women's hammer at 10:45 a.m., men's high jump at 11:30 a.m., men's and women's long jump at 12 p.m., men's pole vault at 1 p.m., women's javelin at 1:30 p.m., men's and women's triple jump at 2 p.m., and men's javelin at 3 p.m.

At the track, each women's race will precede each men's race. The first event of the second day will consist of the 1500m starting just after 12 p.m. Afterwards, the 4x100m relay will look to take off at 12:30 p.m., then the 100m hurdles at 12:45 p.m. and 110m hurdles at 12:55 p.m. The rest of the day will include the 400m at 1:15 p.m., 100m prelims at 1:30 p.m., 800m at 2 p.m., 100m finals at 2:20 p.m., 400m hurdles at 2:45 p.m., 200m at 3:10 p.m., 4x400m relay at 4:10 p.m., 3000m steeplechase at 4:30 p.m., and the 5000m to cap off the day at 4:55 p.m.

UP NEXT

The next meet on the radar for the Gauchos will be the Vince O'Boyle Classic held in Irvine, Calif. Competitions will take place over the course of two days, May 2-3. This will be the last meet for the Gauchos to polish their skills before the postseason begins.
