NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars on Tuesday afternoon with UC Santa Barbara men's golfer
Nick Waldock tabbed for the honor.
The GCAA requires student-athletes to post a scoring average of 76.0 or better while participating in 50% of their teams' competitive rounds and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better. Student-athletes must also be a sophomore or older to receive the honor.
Waldock, a rising junior for the Gauchos, posted a scoring average of 73.5 during the 2024-25 season. He had a season-best sixth-place finish twice, first at the Gener Miranda Falcon Invitational, where he finished three under par, and second at Santa Barbara's home event, the Gaucho Invite, where he also finished three under. By the end of the season, he recorded 12 rounds under par with his best round coming at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational, where he shot a three-under, 68.
The Gauchos' 2025-26 season schedule will be released in the coming months.
