SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Men's Basketball transfer, Miro Little, has been named to Finland's preliminary roster for the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket. Little is just one of 12 NCAA student-athletes to make the Preliminary EuroBasket Roster.
ABOUT MIRO LITTLE
A dynamic point guard standing 6-foot-3 with dual Finnish-American nationality, Little has showcased his talents across top collegiate programs, having played at Baylor, then Utah, before joining UC Santa Barbara. Out of high school, Little was a top international prospect and a four-star point guard by way of Sunrise Christian Academy. Internationally, he was the youngest player to make his Finnish National Team debut since 1997 at just 17 years old when he played in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Little delivered solid performances during the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Valencia, Spain, averaging
7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in three games.
In his first 2025 exhibition game with the team, Little logged the third most playing time seeing 20 minutes of action with four points, three rebounds and eight assists. He helped the Finland win their 500th international contest.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Finnish National team, or Susijengi, is currently competing in exhibition games before the start of EuroBasket, which is slated to start on Wednesday, August 27. Susijengi and Little open against Sweden on August 27 with the start of group play.
